Digital Transformation & Integration
Digitised services, automated workflows and connected systems, so a service works end to end, in government and in business alike.
Learn moreFrom Cairo, we design and build portals, e-services, case management and internal systems for organisations in Egypt and the Gulf: software shaped around your processes, not the other way round.

Custom software is software designed and built for one organisation: its own processes, data and users. It differs from off-the-shelf software, which many organisations license and then adapt their work to. Custom development fits when a process is specific to you, when several systems must work as one, or when a ready-made package would need more changes than it is worth.
Sustainable Software Solutions is a software company based in Cairo. We build case management systems, e-services and internal systems on one secure foundation, for government entities and enterprises in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states, and we connect them to the systems you already run.
Sustainable, for us, describes the software itself: a system your people can run, extend and afford for years. That is why the architecture, the data model and the interface are agreed before build, and why every stage ends with working software you can test.
What we build
Six kinds of work, delivered by one team that stays accountable from the first workshop to operations.
Public and internal portals where people apply, pay, track a request and get the result without a visit or a phone call.
Each request, complaint or file becomes a case with an owner, a deadline and a full history, from intake to closure.
Enterprise applications for the processes a ready-made package does not cover, on the same secure foundation as the rest.
New software exchanges data with the systems you already run, so information is entered once and used everywhere.
Information security, quality assurance and risk management are part of every engagement, not a review at the end.
Once the system is live we can monitor, support and improve it as a managed service under clear service levels.
Build or buy
Neither is always right. These four points are how we help a client decide before any code is written.
The process is common to most organisations, such as payroll, accounting or e-mail, and you can work the way the package expects.
The process is specific to your organisation or set by regulation, it must connect to several systems, or licence fees grow with every user.
Often the answer is both: a standard platform for the common parts, with custom modules and integrations for what makes you different.
Compare licences, customisation, integration and support over several years, not the first invoice alone.
How we deliver
Five steps, each ending in something you can see, test and sign off.
STEP 01
We study the process, its users and the systems around it, and agree the problem before proposing a system.
STEP 02
Architecture, data model and interface are agreed and signed off before build.
STEP 03
We build in stages, and each stage ends with working software you can test.
STEP 04
We migrate the data, cut over to the new system and hand it over without surprises.
STEP 05
Once it is live we measure, tune and extend it, and can run it as a managed service.
Questions & answers
Ask how the scope is agreed before build, what you will be able to test at each stage, how the system is handed over to your team and who supports it after launch. A company that answers these plainly, in writing, is a safer choice than one that only shows a price.
It usually costs more to start and can cost less to own. A package adds licence fees per user and the cost of adapting it; custom software has no per-user licence and does exactly what you need. The fair comparison is the total over several years.
Yes. For government entities we build portals, e-services, case management and workflow automation, connected to the systems they already run.
The project follows five steps (discover, design, build, deploy and improve), each ending in something you can see, test and sign off. Because working software is delivered at every stage, a problem shows early, when it is still cheap to fix.
Yes. We link portals, e-services and case management systems to the systems you already run and automate the processes between them, so a service works end to end.
Our team is in Cairo and serves clients in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
